First Look at Brad Pitt in WORLD WAR Z
by Matt Goldberg Posted: July 5th, 2011
The first set photos of Brad Pitt in Marc Forster’s adaptation of Max Brooks’ horror novel World War Z. The scene being shot took place in Israel, which, in the book, is the only country to close its borders and initiate a countrywide quarantine. The novel follows the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse from the perspective of survivors as varied as mercenaries, US government officials, and impoverished Palestinians. Paramount is positioning the film as one of their 2012 tentpoles and you can see that they’re not afraid to spend some money on this flick.

Clark Gregg And Rachel Bilson Join The To Do List, Formally Known As The Hand Jobpublished: 2011-07-05 21:03:48 Author: Eric Eisenberg
There are some projects that go into pre-production with titles that you just know you'll never see on a poster at the local cinema. From A Couple of Dicks (changed to Cop Out) to Fuckbuddies (changed to No Strings Attached), there's a certain point where the studio or the MPAA steps in to wag their fingers and shake their heads. When it was first announced that a comedy called The Hand Job was being developed, a clock began ticking away the moments until the title was finally the changed. While that time has come, the good news is that the film has added two new cast members.
The Playlist has learned that Clark Gregg and Rachel Bilson have joined the film, which will henceforth be known as The To Do List. Written and directed by Maggie Carey, the cast already includes Aubrey Plaza, Bill Hader (Carey's husband), Andy Samberg, Alia Shawkat, Mae Whitman, Johnny Simmons, Donald Glover, Connie Britton, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Scott Porter, D.C. Pierson and Dominic Dierkes. The plot centers on a young, straight-A student about to graduate high school (Plaza) who decides that she is going to spend the summer before college gaining as much sexual experience as she can. The title refers to the list of all the sexual acts she wants to do. While it's not official, the site believes that Gregg will be playing Plaza's father while Bilson will be her older sister. Production is expected to begin shortly, as Plaza and Glover's NBC comedies, Parks and Recreation and Community, are scheduled to begin shooting their next seasons at the end of the summer.
While the film's cast is absolutely outstanding (easily the best collection of young funny people working today), there's always the possibility that the project will try to do to much as it can to best utilize the entire cast and end up a mess. That said, the movie's premise is fantastic and proper execution could make it a hit. http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Clark-Gregg-And-Rachel-Bilson-Join-The-To-Do-List-Formally-Known-As-The-Hand-Job-25545.html
Jerusha Hess Teaming With Stephanie Meyer For Austenland, Starring Keri Russellpublished: 2011-07-05 17:15:24 Author: Eric Eisenberg
As much as I hated everyone saying "Yeah baby, yeah" after Austin Powers and "Very nice!" after Borat, the incessant quoting of Napoleon Dynamite turned my opinion about the film from "mildly enjoyed" to "actively hate." Because everyone and their grandmother could recite the script on que, the whole film suffered from incredible over-exposure. In the years since the duo behind the film, Jared and Jerusha Hess, haven't experienced the same level of success, neither Nacho Libre or Gentleman Broncos receiving the same level of praise from critics. Now it seems the two are ready to start working on separate projects, for for Jerusha that project is Austenland.
THR reports that Jerusha, who is also Jared's wife, is heading out on her own to make her directorial debut and will have Twilight writer Stephanie Meyer serving as her producer. A romantic comedy, the plot revolves a thirty-something woman who is completely in love with Colin Firth's version of Mr. Darcy in the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. The obsession ends up ruining her life, as there is no man in her world that can stack up. Keri Russell, JJ Feild and Bret McKenzie have signed on to star while the supporting cast includes Jennifer Coolidge, Jane Seymour, Rupert Vansittart and James Callis. The project was co-written by Hess with Shannon Hale, who wrote the book that the film is based on. Production on the film is scheduled to begin this week.
Some may scoff at the idea of Meyer extending her reach in the film world beyond the Twilight franchise, but when you think about it this film is a perfect fit for her. You know where you can a whole shitload of thirty-year-olds obsessing over a fictional character? In the Twilight aisle of your local Barnes and Nobel. http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Jerusha-Hess-Teaming-With-Stephanie-Meyer-For-Austenland-Starring-Keri-Russell-25540.html
