The first image from Jim Sheridan’s (My Left Foot, Brothers) upcoming thriller Dream House has hit the web. The film stars Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts. The movie tells the story of a family that unknowingly moves into a home where several grisly murders were committed…only to find themselves the killer’s next target. Originally scheduled to be released next month, the release date was pushed back to September 30th of this year in order to accommodate reshoots that are needed when Craig gets a break from filming David Fincher’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Hit the jump to check out the full image, as well as an official synopsis of the film.
Here’s the synopsis of Dream House:
Some say that all houses have memories. For one man, his home is the place he would kill to forget. Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts star in Dream House, a suspense thriller about a family that unknowingly moves into a home where several grisly murders were committed…only to find themselves the killer’s next target.
Successful publisher Will Atenton (Craig) quit a job in New York City to relocate his wife, Libby (Weisz), and two girls to a quaint New England town. But as they settle into their new life, they discover their perfect home was the murder scene of a mother and her children. And the entire city believes it was at the hands of the husband who survived.
When Will investigates the tragedy, his only lead comes from Ann Paterson (Watts), a neighbor who was close to the family that died. As Will and Ann piece together the disturbing puzzle, they discover that the story of the last man to leave Will’s dream house will be just as horrifying to the one who came next.

Mark Ruffalo NOT Doing Motion-Capture Work for Hulk in THE AVENGERS After All?

by Adam Chitwood    Posted: January 28th, 2011

The culmination of all of Marvel’s films so far, The Avengers, is set to start shooting in April. Directed by Joss Whedon, the film boasts an all-star cast of Robert Downey Jr, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Samuel L. Jackson, and Jeremy Renner. Ruffalo, who replaces Edward Norton as the Hulk, previously stated that he would be the first actor to actually play the character, with all the previous versions having someone other than the lead actor do the motion capture. Well, now it looks like he may not be doing motion capture work after all. Actor Brandon Molale recently tweeted the following (via Comic Book Movie):
“My life: Just auditioned to play the Hulk (motion capture) in the new Avengers movie. Pretty damn cool job!”
So is Joss Whedon completely ditching the idea of Ruffalo doing the motion capture work for Hulk? Or are they simply covering all their bases to see which works better? At this point, no one’s saying for sure. It would be cool to know that all of Hulk’s movements come from Ruffalo, but I don’t really see it as a dealbreaker regarding the film. The Avengers hits theaters on May 4th 2012.
